手元のIntel HD Graphics 2500でも 10.18.10.3412でCorel Video Studio X7でAVCHDファイル（MTSファイル）を開くと強制終了。最新版の10.18.10.3496をインストールして問題なくなりました。

Dear Jan, you are my hero! The issue was indeed with the graphic card driver version! In my laptop I have two graphic cards according to the windows hardware manager: Intel HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDEA GeForce GTX 760M. The Intel HD Graphics 4600 was running on driver version 10.18.10.3412. Pushing the button of "check if newer versions of driver are available" confirmed that I have the latest version. HOWEVER:..... I went to the intel website and... there is a version 10.18.10.3496. Instead of downgrading which you suggested I upgraded through the intel website. Restartet the computer and... PROBLEM SOLVED!
