英語版のみアップデートで対応されているそうですが、日本語版はまだみたい。

ZoneAlarmのWebサイトに掲載された情報によれば、影響を受けるのはZoneAlarm Free、ZoneAlarm Pro、ZoneAlarm AntiVirus、ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware、ZoneAlarm Security Suiteの各製品。設定変更などで対処する方法を紹介している。不具合を解消する最新バージョンは、英語版のみの公開となっている。

パーソナルファイアウォールソフトの「ZoneAlarm」シリーズで、9日に公開されたマイクロソフトの修正パッチをインストールした場合に、インターネットに接続できなくなる現象が発生した。開発元のCheck Point Software Technologiesでは、この問題を修正したバージョンを公開しており、ユーザーにアップデートを呼びかけている。

　この問題は、「ZoneAlarm Basic Firewall」「ZoneAlarm Antivirus」など、ZoneAlarmシリーズのソフトについて、マイクロソフトが9日に公開した修正パッチ「KB951748」（MS08-037）を適用した後、インターネットに接続できなくなるという問題が発生するもの。この問題はWindows XP/2000で発生し、Windows Vistaには影響がないという。

ZoneAlarm、「MS08-037」適用後にネット接続できなくなる不具合

ZoneAlarmを入れている端末で、MS08-037（KB951748）を入れるとIEでに接続できない不具合があるそうです。

Today (Tuesday, 08 July 2008) is "patch Tuesday" for Microsoft.

There is a bad patch in this latest release: #951748.

#951748 installs fine but kills Internet Explorer after the reboot.

Two hours on the phone this afternoon with Microsoft Technical Support for IE7 determined that Zone Alarm's two "FIREWALL Security Zone" settings (INTERNET and TRUSTED) must be reduced from HIGH to MEDIUM to get IE7 to find web sites. Otherwise, on a 7 Mb DSL connection, after about 60 seconds, IE reports it is unable to open the URL. Reducing the Zone Alarm settings to MEDIUM right while IE is struggling to find a web site results in IE's instantly opening the web site.

Command window 'PINGs' return all packets without loss, proving the DSL connection is alive and well, despite IE's failures.

Microsoft has admitted to me that they have a problem with #951748. They tell me that it is theirs to fix, not Zone Alarm's.

今月のWindowsUpdateで提供されるKB951748/KB951978ですが、
ZoneAlarmをインストールした環境において同KBを適用すると、
インターネット接続ができなくなる現象が発生しました。
現在2台のPCでこの現象を確認しています。
どうも、ZoneAlarm自体がブロックするのではなく、
ZoneAlarmに関連するファイルによる不具合、
もしくはKB自体に不具合があるっぽい感じです。

よっちゃんのチラ裏 KB951748 / KB951978で問題発生？！
