よく分からなかったビジネス製品のサポート方針変更の件、正式リリースが出ていました＞Microsoft

マイクロソフトのビジネス向けソフトウェア製品のサポート方針が変更されたそうです。具体的には、延長サポート期間中のWindows Updateにおけるセキュリティ更新プログラムの提供期間が延びました：

• 従来： 延長サポート開始から2年間だけWindows Updateでダウンロード可能 （残りの期間はダウンロード センターを利用するしかない）
• 今後： 延長サポートの全期間、Windows Updateでダウンロード可能

正式リリース（Microsoft）

The Security Update Download process previously provided security updates through Windows Update during the Mainstream Support phase (five years), and the first two years of Extended Support for Business and Developer products. Because Extended Support was expanded to include five years of support, during the final three years of Extended Support, security updates were only available from the Microsoft Download Center, instead of through Windows Update.
